Photographer guide
Upload from the sideline, let AI sort by player, publish galleries, set your prices, and get paid.
1Get set up
- Sign up, and choose the Photographer role (or set it later under Account → Platform Role).
- You'll get a Studio tab — your layout is Home · Studio · Account. Everything below lives in Studio.
- Connect payouts: Studio → Payouts → Open Stripe dashboard and finish Stripe Express onboarding so you can be paid.
2Find & cover games
In Studio, open Find Games / Reservations to see games near you, request to cover one, and manage or cancel your reservations. A coach or league admin approves your request for their game.
3Upload photos
- Go to Studio → Upload and select a batch from your camera roll (hundreds at a time is fine).
- Tag the team/event if prompted so photos land in the right gallery.
- Let it process. The AI resizes, matches faces, reads jersey numbers, and watermarks proofs. Large batches take a few minutes.
4Review the AI's matches
Open the upload's AI matching review to confirm the AI's work before anything sells:
- Approve or reject a suggested match.
- Reassign a photo to a different player from the roster picker.
- Assign an unmatched photo to a player.
Your changes save and stick. On proofs, every detected face is blurred until purchase — a deliberate child-safety default while consent is in place.
5Publish & manage galleries
Open Studio → Galleries, then a gallery in the editor. You can:
- Publish / draft / archive and rename the gallery.
- Assign a price list, set a password, set an expiry date, and toggle selfie search.
- Copy the share link — a published gallery opens publicly at that link (password enforced if you set one).
6Set prices & promo codes
- Studio → Pricing: build price lists (single photo, bundle, full gallery), toggle products on/off, and preview your earnings after commission.
- Create promo codes (percentage, fixed, or free-download) and toggle or delete them any time.
You keep 75% on the Free plan and 80% on Pro, after Stripe processing.
7Watermark & branding
In Studio → Settings: set your display name, bio, and accent color, and configure the watermark (enable, position, opacity). Notifications are here too.
8Orders & payouts
- Studio → Orders: every sale with the buyer, item, amount, and your payout. Digital downloads deliver instantly.
- Studio → Payouts: your balance and a link to your Stripe dashboard. Payouts go out weekly to your Stripe account.
9Go Pro
Creator Pro ($19/mo or $149/yr) unlocks unlimited galleries (Free: 10), keeps 80% of every sale instead of 75%, your own logo as the watermark, full-resolution sales from event galleries, promo codes, and your public portfolio page (rokstrsports.com/creator/you).
Coach quickstart
Get your team up and running — roster, schedule, messaging, and live game scoring — in a few minutes.
1Get started
- Sign up and choose Coach (or set it under Account → Platform Role).
- Join your team with the coach invite code from your league, or open the team you were added to.
- Your tabs: Home · Schedule · Messages · Photos · Account.
2Build your roster
Open your team and find the Roster. Add players, link a parent to each, and set jersey numbers.
3Schedule games & practices
- From the team Schedule, create a game or practice — set date, time, and location (the address/map picker helps families find it).
- Edit or delete events any time; duplicate one to save typing.
- See each player's RSVP for a game.
4Message your team
Messages → Team posts an announcement to everyone (attach a photo if you like). Long-press a message to reply. Use Direct for a private 1-to-1 with a parent.
5Run a live game
- From the Schedule, open the game and start live scoring.
- Log plays as they happen — the score updates live and a play-by-play feed builds for families following along.
- Check the box score and player stats.
- Finalize the game to lock the score and generate a recap.
- Optional: start a live video stream for the game.
6Stats & leaderboard
Season stats roll up automatically after each finalized game — totals, per-game averages, and a team leaderboard.
7Photographer reservations
If a photographer requests to cover one of your games, you'll be able to approve it so they can shoot and publish that game's gallery.
8Your subscription
Under Account → Current Plan you'll see your plan — Free, Coach Pro, or League Pro (if your league covers you, it names the league). Coach Pro ($29/mo or $249/yr) adds live streaming, AI-written game recaps, unlimited tournaments, and your league's logo on the registration pages you create.
Parent FAQ
Following your team and buying your child's game photos — answered.
How do I join my team?
Ask your coach or league for an invite code or link. In the app, look on the Home tab or Account for the option to join a team, and enter the code. Your team then appears on Home.
Where do I find my child's game photos?
Open the Photos tab and pick a game gallery. When a photographer publishes new photos, you'll get a push notification that links straight to your child's gallery. Recent games also appear on your Home tab.
Why is my child's face blurred in the previews?
That's on purpose. Preview (proof) images blur faces and add a watermark to protect children until a photo is purchased. When you buy a photo of your own child, you get the full-resolution image with no watermark.
How much do photos cost, and how do I buy?
Pricing is set by the photographer, typically $3.99 for a single photo, $12.99 for a 5-photo bundle, and $49.99 for the full gallery. Tap a photo, confirm the purchase, and your full-resolution download unlocks right away.
Do I need an account to buy?
In the app you're signed in, so every purchase is saved under Account → My Purchases. A gallery link someone sends you opens without an account, and a receipt with a download link is emailed after every purchase.
How do downloads work after I buy?
You get an instant full-resolution download (no watermark) plus an emailed receipt. You can re-download anytime from Account → My Purchases.
Can I get a refund?
Yes — go to Account → Support & Refunds, pick the photo, choose a reason, and submit. Our team reviews it and follows up.
How do I RSVP or message the team?
Open the Schedule tab, tap a game, and set your child's RSVP. For messages, the Messages tab has your team chat and private direct messages with the coach or other parents.
Is my child's data safe? (COPPA)
Child safety is built into how the platform is designed. Children are never platform users — all of their data flows through your parent account, and we ask for your consent separately for data collection, facial recognition, and the photo marketplace. You control those choices under Account → Children's Privacy. Faces are blurred on all public previews.
What is facial recognition / selfie search?
To sort thousands of game photos by player, the app can match faces (and jersey numbers) — only for players whose parent has given consent. "Selfie search" lets an opposing-team parent find photos of their own child; any biometric data from a selfie search is deleted within 24 hours.
How do I manage or withdraw consent?
Go to Account → Children's Privacy to review and update consent for each of your athletes at any time.
I still need help.
