9. Children's privacy (COPPA Supplement)

This section describes our practices regarding personal information of children under 13, in compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act ("COPPA"), 15 U.S.C. §§ 6501–6506, and the FTC's COPPA Rule, 16 C.F.R. Part 312, as amended. Where this section conflicts with the general policy above regarding children's data, this section controls.

9.1 Scope and applicability

Rokstr Sports is a mixed-audience platform serving adults but collecting and processing personal information about children under 13 who are athletes on team rosters. Children do not create accounts. All child data is managed exclusively through the authenticated account of a parent or legal guardian. Children are the subjects of data on our platform, not users of it.

9.2 Information we collect from or about children

Solely as provided by a parent or guardian through their account:

We do not collect email addresses, screen names, login credentials, device identifiers, or geolocation data directly from children. Children do not interact with the platform directly.

9.3 How we use children's information

We use children's information solely for team roster management, scheduling/RSVP, facial recognition and jersey-number matching, per-player gallery generation, parent notifications, and print-on-demand merchandise ordered by the parent. We do not use children's information for targeted advertising or behavioral profiling, and we do not sell, rent, or trade it.

9.4 Verifiable parental consent

We obtain verifiable parental consent ("VPC") before collecting, using, or disclosing any personal information from or about a child under 13. We require separate consent for each of four categories:

All children's data on Rokstr Sports is managed exclusively through the authenticated account of an adult parent or legal guardian; children never create or access accounts. Before any child information is collected, and separately before facial-recognition, photo-marketplace, or selfie-search processing, we require the parent or guardian to provide affirmative, category-specific consent from within their authenticated account, certifying that they are the child's parent or legal guardian. Each consent is logged with the granting account, IP address, device information, and timestamp, and may be reviewed or revoked by the parent at any time. We are actively expanding our verifiable-parental-consent process to add further FTC-recognized verification methods (such as credit-card or government-issued-ID verification); until those are in place, consent is obtained through the authenticated-guardian attestation described above.

9.5 Disclosure of children's information to third parties

We obtain separate verifiable parental consent before disclosing children's personal information to third parties. We disclose such information only to AWS (Rekognition, S3/CloudFront) for matching, storage, and delivery; to Stripe for payment processing (parent payment info only); and to print-on-demand partners (Prodigi, QPMN) for fulfillment of orders placed by the parent. We do not disclose children's information for advertising or any unrelated commercial purpose.

9.6 Data retention and deletion

9.7 Parental rights

Parents and guardians have the right to review the information collected about their child, to request deletion of that information, to refuse further collection (by revoking specific consent categories or removing the child from the roster), and to non-discrimination — a parent may decline facial recognition and marketplace consent while still using the free team management tools. To exercise these rights, contact support@rokstrsports.com; we respond within 30 days.

9.8 State biometric privacy laws

We are committed to complying with applicable state biometric laws, including the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act (BIPA), the Texas Capture or Use of Biometric Identifier Act (CUBI), Washington's biometric identifiers law (RCW 19.375), and the California CCPA/CPRA, under which we treat facial geometry data as sensitive personal information with enhanced protections for minors.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy with a new "Last updated" date. For material changes affecting children's data, we will obtain new verifiable parental consent before implementing those changes.
